The Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ghana Tourism Authority, the National Lottery Authority (NLA), the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and Zenith Bank have launched the Stars4Qatar program in Accra. In attendance was the Chief Accountant of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Hafiz Adams.
Others included Dr. Tony Aubynn Executive Council Member of the GFA, Mr. Clifford Mensah - Executive Director - Zenith Bank Ghana, Bernard Boamah – Head of Marketing – for NLA and George Andah.
The concept which is aimed at raising funds for the Black Stars ahead of their participation in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 finals in November also seeks to reward the most engaging fan (player/customer) with an all-expense paid trip to Qatar to be part of the teaming fans for the tournament.
The Stars4Qatar program is a on the Caritas platform and managed by the National Lottery Authority with support from the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ghana Tourism Authority.

About the STARS-4-QATAR Promo
The 22nd edition of the FIFA Men’s World Cup, Qatar 2022 is scheduled to take place in Qatar from 21 November to 18 December 2022. Ghana is one of the 5 African countries to have qualified for the tournament. As part of plans to whip up interest and rally support for the Black Stars, The Ghana Football Association in partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Sports is organizing a promo to reward lucky subscribers.

- Users participate in the promo by dialing USSD code *899# across all networks
- User is presented with a USSD menu
- User enters “1” to select option to buy ticket for the promo
- User is asked to enter the number of tickets to buy for the promo
- User is presented a summary of tickets to be purchased and confirms
- User receives a USSD pop-up to confirm payment via Mobile Money
- The more tickets a user has increases his probability of selection Checking tickets bought

- User is presented with a USSD menu
- User enters “3” to select option to check tickets bought for the promo
- User is presented with the number of successful tickets paid

- User enters Full Name, Email, Phone number and the number of tickets

- User clicks “Check Tickets”
- User enters Email and Phone number
