The first batch of players selected for the Black Damsels, Ghana’s national girls’ schools football team, are expected to report to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Technical Center in Prampram on Thursday, March 5, for a screening exercise.

The screening forms part of preparations for the upcoming CAF African Schools Football Championship, scheduled to take place in Maputo, Mozambique.

The selected players drawn from various schools and lower tier clubs across the country are expected to undergo technical and physical assessments by the coaching staff as the team begins final preparations for the continental competition.

The Black Damsels are expected to represent Ghana in the CAF African Schools Football Championship, a competition designed to promote grassroots football and identify emerging talents across the continent.
