The GFA Disciplinary Committee has ruled that the result of the Elite Club Cup Competition 1st Leg 2nd Round Match between Istanbul FC and Sporting Mirren shall stand, after a protest by the latter was ruled to have failed.

Sporting Mirren protested against the respondent (Istanbul) for failing to provide player licences and letters of consent for inspection.

They further added that Istanbul FC failed to register list of players and technical team before the match and also fielded players whose names have not been submitted to the GFA.

The Petitioner therefore demanded to be declared the winner of the match which was played at the Akyem Takyiman park on January 14, 2015.

However, the Disciplinary Committee ruled that:

1. That for failing to accompany their protest with the payment of appropriate protest fee to the Match Commissioner per the provisions on page 7 of the Special Rules for the Elite Clubs Cup, the protest shall fail and the match result shall stand.

2. That there shall be no order as to cost.

3. That any party which is dissatisfied with this Decision has within 24 hours of being notified of this Decision to appeal to the Appeals Committee (see page 7 of Special Rules).
