FC Savannah secured a hard-fought 2-0 victory over Dorma Candy Ladies in an entertaining contest at the Gusheigu Astro Turf on Sunday.

The match began with both sides showing attacking intent. FC Savannah looked lively going forward, pressing high and creating early chances, while Candy Ladies relied on quick counterattacks to trouble the defence.

The breakthrough came early in the first half when FC Savannah capitalised on a defensive lapse. A well-worked move opened space in the attacking third, allowing Sofaya Issah to find the back of the net in the 16th minute to give Savannah a 1-0 lead.

Dorma Candy Ladies responded positively and pushed forward in search of an equaliser, but FC Savannah's defence held firm to maintain their advantage going into halftime. Darajat Rafio Yussif sealed the win with a moment of individual brilliance in the 93rd minute to make it 2-0.

In Kumasi, Dreamz Ladies and Tamale Super Ladies played out a goalless stalemate.

In a tight, tactical affair at the Dreamz Ladies home grounds, chances were few and far between. The hosts, coming off a 0-0 draw with Dorma Candy Ladies on Matchday 1, again showed defensive solidity but struggled to break down a well-organised Tamale Super Ladies backline.

Both teams pushed late for a winner but lacked the cutting edge in the final third. The 0-0 draw means Dreamz Ladies have now recorded back-to-back goalless draws, while Tamale Super Ladies leave with a valuable away point, leaving both sides unbeaten on two points after two games.
