Ghana's Black Satellites (National Men's Under-20 Football team) are set to commence their campaign in the Total Energies U-20 Africa Cup of Nations Egypt 2025.
The team has settled in their camp in the Green House Hotel in the seaside city of Suez, which is synonymous with the iconic Suez Canal, a vital link in the maritime industry.
Having gone through final preparations for the tournament, the Satellites are looking forward to their opening Group C match against the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
The match is scheduled to take place at the Suez Stadium on Friday, May 2, 2025, at 9pm local time (1800 GMT) and the Satellites are bent on starting their campaign with a victory.
Earlier on Friday evening, defending champions, Senegal, will take on Central African Republic at the same stadium at 6pm local time (1500 GMT).
The top two teams from each group will qualify for the quarterfinals, along with the two best third-placed teams. The four semi-finalists will also book their place at the FIFA U-20 World Cup Chile 2025.
The Black Satellites qualified for the tournament after finishing as runners up to Nigeria in the WAFU Zone B U-20 Championship and are looking to make a strong impression in Egypt.
