The battle for promotion to the 2025/26 Malta Guinness Women's Premier League took another dramatic turn in the Northern Zone of the Women's playoff as Perlpia Ladies breathed new life into their campaign with a resounding 9-0 victory over Wa All Stars Ladies.

On a rain-soaked pitch at the B.K Adama Sports Complex, Abdul Rahman Barikisu scored four goals, while Hamdia Mohammed, Iddi Sharifa, Memuna Bugri, Andul Rahman Samira, and Emmanuella Sarfowaa each added to the scoreline, securing Perlpia Ladies' second win of the competition.

Earlier in the day, Ash-Town Ladies kept their promotion hopes alive with a hard-fought win over Nasara Ladies. Blessing Asubia opened the scoring just before halftime, and Latifa Zakaria's own goal doubled the lead. Although Fatimah Fuseini pulled one back for Nasara, Rose Asumadu's late header sealed the win for Ash-Town.

In the final match of the day, Candy Soccer Ladies continued their push for promotion with a victory over Bolga Sharp Arrows, moving them up to second place in the table. Belinder Ofori's brace proved sufficient to secure the win as they aim to return to the Women's topflight League.
