Prince Opoku Agyemang and Kwasi Donsu scored in either half as Medeama SC defeated Legon Cities 2-1 on match day 20 of the Ghana Premier League at Akoon Park at Tarkwa.

Prince Opoku Agyemang opened the scoring for the home side in the 19th minutes after he dribbled past Legon Cities goalkeeper Winfred Hornu.

Legon Cities attacking trio - Jonah Attuquaye, Hans Kwofie and Victorien Adebayor caused many problems in the attacking area but Medeama did well to clip their wings.

With just a few minutes to half time, Joseph Adjei made a cynical tackle on Justice Blay in an 'animalistic' manner to the charging of his own bench.

Adjei's was sent off for that offense – as Legon Cities played the second half with 10 men.

Issaka Mohammed got the equalizer after rounding up goalkeeper Frank Boateng in the 79th minute.

Nigerian Victorien Adebayor squeezed passed Bright Enchil to send a teasing cross but Mohammed connected from the rebound to get them level.

The celebration was short-lived after substitute Kwasi Donsu who replaced injured Justice Justice Blay scored a cracking goal with a ferocious volley inside the 18-yard box with six minutes left on the clock.

Medeama now move into the top four – with 33 points after two wins on the spin at the Akoon Park.

Legon Cities who are 14th with 22 points will now continue their push in the relegation dog-fight.
