The MTN FA Cup Round of 64 matches kicked off on Monday with Premier League side WAFA brushing aside third tier side Emmanuel FC by a 3-1 scoreline in their match which was played at the Tema Stadium on Monday.
WAFA who were ahead by two goals by halftime added their third goal of the day in the second half before the home side pulled one back.
In the second match which was played on Tuesday, Division two side Birim DC stunned Real Athletico in their round of 64 match which was played at the Tema Stadium.
The competition will continue on Wednesday with action packed fixtures across the country.
Wednesday’s matches will see Hearts of Oak take on Elmina Sharks, Ashantigold against Cornerstones and an all Premier League tie between Berekum Chelsea and New Edubiase at the Golden City Park.
Thursday also promises to be exciting with former Ghana Premier League stalwarts Eleven Wise and Okwahu United taking on each other at the Essipong for a place in the next round of the competition.
Great Olympics will also host Ebusua Dwarfs at the Accra Stadium on Thursday whiles Liberty professionals face third tier side Charity Stars again.
The match between Paga Crocodile Stars and Asante Kotoko has been rescheduled to Wednesday 25th March, 2015 at the Bolga Park.
