Leaders Medeama have now opened a 3-point lead at the summit of the Glo Premier League after defeating title contenders, Aduana Stars 3-1 on Sunday.

Aduana had defender Emmanuel Akuoku sent off before the break after he conceded a penalty to the home team.

The home win will give Medeama a little respite after Asante Kotoko failed to win in Wa.

Godfred Saka canceled Godbless Asamoah's 19th opener for Medeama at the T&A Park when he redeemed himself for his role in the home side's goal by finding the back of the net from a freekick.

But a before the break, Godfred Rockson restored Medeama's lead from a penalty in the 44th minute.

Back from the break, Aduana, playing with ten men could not match their opponents as Bismarck Asiedu ended their attempts to find the equaliser when he scored the third goal for Medeama.
