Fabulous Ladies are second from bottom with 13 points, while Tamale Super Ladies occupies the 8th spot with 19 points with Dormaa Candy Soccer Academy Ladies sitting at the base with 11 points.

Here is a preview for Matchday 17:

NORTHERN LADIES VRS FABULOUS LADIES

Northern Ladies will aim to maintain their winning run against relegation threatened Fabulous Ladies at the Aliu Mahama sports stadium. Coach Sumani Basirudeen believes his side can still finish in the top four despite dropping points in recent weeks to drop to 5th – five points adrift of leaders Ampem Darkoa Ladies. Their visitors have been inconsistent all season and lie 9th with 13 points. Fabulous Ladies striker, Princess Owusu has 14 goals but her goals have done little to lift her from their current predicament even though she hopes to end the season as the top scorer.

PRISONS LADIES VRS DREAMZ LADIES

Prisons Ladies and Dreamz Ladies will square off at the Sunyani Coronation Park as the battle for the top continues this weekend. Prisons are unbeaten in their last two games and are currently 3rd in the league log with 24 points and looking forward to pick a win in their final home game of the season. Dreamz Ladies are 4th in the league table with 24 points same as their opponent which makes this fixture a tough one for both teams. Dreamz Ladies have scored 28 goals and conceded 22 – a record that shows their defensive frailties’ compared to Prisons Ladies. Prisons Ladies will be counting on their top scorer Helena Obeng (12 goals) who is also eyeing the goal queen award this season.

ASHTOWN LADIES VRS PEARLPIA LADIES

Ashtown Ladies will welcome Pearlpia Ladies in a crucial encounter at the Bantama Kookoase Astroturf. Ashtown Ladies will be looking forward to continue their fine form as they have picked four points in their last two games whilst Pearlpia Ladies were held to a stalemate in their game against Supreme ladies last weekend. A win for Pearlpia will boost their chances of winning the Northern Zone as they lie in 2nd place, level on points with leaders Ampem Darkoa Ladies.

TAMALE SUPER LADIES VRS CANDY SOCCER

Bottom Club Dormaa Candy Ladies will be in Tamale as guests of Tamale Super Ladies at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium. Candy Ladies are currently sitting at the bottom of the log with 11 points. Tamale Super Ladies will look to avoid defeat to cushion them in the fight against relegation. The first round encounter ended 3 goals to 2 in favor of Dormaa Candy Soccer Academy Ladies.

SUPREME LADIES VRS AMPEM DARKOA LADIES

Supreme Ladies will host leaders Ampem Darkoa Ladies at the Bantama Astro Turf on Sunday. Although Supreme Ladies had a good performance mid-season, mixed results in the last two games have pushed them from the top 4 to the 6th position. With only 2 fixtures to end the season, it is their utmost aim to get all maximum points to help them make the top 4. Ampem Darkoa are level on points with Pearlpia Ladies but lead the table on goal difference.
