Captain of Ghana's male Under-20 Mahatma Otoo is urging his colleagues to give off everything when the Black Satellites play Benin today in the first leg of the final round of qualifying for the 2011 African Youth Championship.

Ghana, defending champions are aiming to book their place in the finals to be staged in Libya.

But for Mahatma, the first leg clash would prove crucial to their chances of reaching next year's Championship.

After beating Namibia 5-1 on aggregate to reach this stage, Mahatma has issued a timely rallying call to his colleagues to ensure that they do not get complacent.

"We have been working hard since the qualifiers begun and we want to first reach Libya then we take it from there. But we have a crucial game against Benin and that would determine our fate.

"But we are very confident. Playing away in the first leg might be difficult but if we put in the hardwork like we have been doing at training then we can take a positive result from this game ahead of the second leg at home.

"Our morale is very high and we know what it would mean to be able to qualify for the Championship. We are very hopeful," the captain who plays for Espearance in Tunisia told www.ghanafa.org.

Ghana would host their opponents in the return clash in a fortnight's time.

Seven teams will qualify for the finals along with hosts Libya.
