Karela deny Elmina Sharks first home win of the season

Karela Utd  managed to deny  fearsome Elmina Sharks first home victory  at the Ndoum sports stadium in the Ghana Premier League match day two.

The  Nzema base club managed their first point in the ongoing league season after a home defeat to WAFA in the league opener. Sharks also needed to bounce back to winning ways after an opening day 2-0 defeat to Bechem United at Bechem park..

Darington Gyan Fosu connected a pass from Franklin Osei to scored the first goal of the game in the 29th minute for the away team but they could not hold unto their win as Sharks quickly regrouped and started dictating the pace of the game which led to Ralf Ocloo's equalizer for Sharks in the 41st minute. Ocloo opened his goal scoring account  by connecting Samuel Arthur’s deflected strike to end the first half of the game

It was a keen contested encounter between the two glamorous teams as both teams created decent chances but failed to utilize them as the score line remained 1-1 after the ninety minute

 Elmina sharks skipper Benjamin Tweneboah won the most valuable player of the day award with a scintillating performance.

Elmina Sharks returns to action against the Sogakope base club WAFA at the Ndoum stadium.
