Hearts of Oak go joint top in the Ghana Premier League as an own goal puts them level on points with Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League.

Patrick Opoku's own goal helped the Phobians to a 1-0 away victory against Bechem United on Saturday as it ended the four-game unbeaten run by Miroslav Bogdanovic's side.

The Phobians, who had failed win in Bechem in their last two meetings join leaders Kotoko on 12 points at the summit though their rivals do not play until Sunday.

David Duncan's side, who have now won three away games this season opened the scoring just three minutes into the start of the game when Bechem conceded courtesy their own player.

Despite the win, the Phobians had to play through a nervy finish at Bechem as the home side pushed for the equaliser but goalkeeper Philemon McCarthy proved equal to the task of denying them goal.
