Ghana to launch Wafu tourney for 8 African teams

Ghana will launch the Wafu Cup (Zone B) tournament involving eight teams from the sub-region on Friday in Accra.

The draw for the regional tournament will also be held during Friday's event at the Media Conference Hall of the Accra Sports Stadium at 11am.

Hosts Ghana will be joined by title holders Togo for the draw for the one-week tournament.

Other countries who will be participating in the competition are Benin, Burkina Faso and Niger.

Senegal, Sierra Leone and Gabon will take part in the tournament as guests.

The countries will be drawn into two groups with the winners of the group progressing to the final while the second placed team in each group will vie for third position.

The competition starts from 21st November, 2013 and will end on 28th November, 2013.
