GFA Elite Academy secured their first win of the tournament after defeating Eastern Region 2-1 in the ongoing U17 Elite Girls Colts Championship.

Eastern Region’s in-form striker, Ruth Fosu, continued her scoring run by putting her side ahead in the first half.

Joyce Awane and Faustina Atimoaning however ensured GFA Elite Academy mounted a comeback to grab maximum points.

Greater Accra recorded their second win after edging Upper East Region 1-0, courtesy of a Venuye Aglebe strike that pushed them further up the table.

Ashanti Region suffered their first defeat at the hands of Northern Region through a Ruhia Mohammed goal. The Northern side have been impressive so far, amassing nine points from three matches.

Volta Region had to dig deep to secure maximum points after Upper West failed to take their chances. Vida Mordzaka scored the only goal of the game to separate the two sides.
