The recent FIFA talent identification championship for U15 girls has done exactly what it’s supposed to do: unearth raw, young talent. One name already making an impression is Racheal Kruwaa, a 12-year-old from Kakenabo.
Currently a Form 2 student at St. Phillips Preparatory School, Racheal is proving that age is just a number. She started playing football at just nine years old, and her dedication has already taken her to the Blacoe Soccer Queens in Sefwi Debiso, located in the Western North region.
On the pitch, Racheal operates as a winger, but coaches and scouts describe her as a versatile player, comfortable in multiple roles when needed.
Her ambitions are clear. Racheal’s dream is to one day pull on the national team jersey. Before that, she has her sights set on the Women’s Premier League, specifically naming Ampem Darkoaa Ladies as the club she wishes to play for.
For a 12-year-old from Kakenabo, currently balancing school at St. Phillips with club duties at Blacoe Soccer Queens, that is a clear and focused path.
