Regional Manager for the FIFA Development Office for West & Central Africa, El Hadj Wack Diop and Africa Regional Coordinator of Member Associations Division of FIFA, Silmara Sousa visited the Technical Center of the Ghana Football Association, the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence, in Prampram.

The two FIFA officials were in the company of the General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association, Prosper Harrison Addo (Esq.), Technical Director, Professor Joseph Kwame Mintah and Head of Legal, Marian Mensah (Esq).

The team arrived in Ghana on Tuesday and first visited the headquarters of the Association where they met with the President of the Association, Mr. Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku.

They inspected facilities at the Technical Center, including the pitches, hostels, conference halls, and the ongoing BetPawa artificial pitch.

The FIFA Team also monitored the floodlights project as well as the renovation works currently being undertaken at the facility.

The team held meetings with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) on various football development issues whilst conducting a review of the Association’s work, including projects under the FIFA Forward programme.

The FIFA delegation also held comprehensive discussions on development projects and progress made in Women’s football and the upcoming FIFA Forward projects, and reviewed the broad strategic goals of the GFA.

Led by the General Secretary, the team visited other projects and observed training sessions of some Colts clubs before departing Ghana on Friday.
