The GFA Executive Committee has approved the Match Review Panel’s recommendation in respect of the Ghana Premier League match between Elmina Sharks and Aduana Stars played on February 19.

The Match review panel reviewed the video of the match to ascertain whether the goal scored in the 25th minute against Elmina Sharks from a free-kick had crossed the goal-line.

The panel observed from the video that the ball crossed the goal-line. Therefore Assistant Referee One, Philip Darko did very well in assisting the Referee in accepting the goal.

Consequently, the panel’s recommendation not to sanction Assistant Referee One, Philip Darko was upheld by the Executive Committee.
