Ghana’s kit sponsor, Puma, make do their promise to the Black Stars by donating a 53-seater Mercedes-Benz Tourisimo bus to the team’s managers, the Ghana Football Association.

The pledge, made to the senior team by their kit sponsor after their sterling performances at the 2006 World Cup in Germany was honoured today by a large Puma team, led by its CEO, Jochen Zeitz.

Jochen Zeitz, before handing over the key to the FA said Puma was happy to be associated with the Black Stars and hopeful that Ghana would join the winning trail of teams sponsored by the German kit manufacturer by clinching the African Cup of Nations title.

“We are happy to be part of the Black Stars. We feel proud of our association. Puma hopes this bus would bring hope to our team and after Egypt, Ghana will win the Cup,” Zeitz said.

FA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi emphasized Ghana’s recent appeal to the corporate world and hoped that the Black Stars would indeed be part of Puma’s title winning sides.

“The FA is enjoying lots of support from the corporate community.

“It’s a further boost and a further commitment from Puma. Puma is an excellent brand and the Black Stars is an excellent brand too.

“We have no doubts about the two excellent brands in co-operation. Pumas have discharged their contract creditably.

“Since 2000, Puma teams have been winning the CAN. And in 2008, what I am sure is, a Puma team will win and that Puma team is Ghana,” said, the confident FA President.
