The Black Maidens were taken through an empowering safeguarding and development program on Sunday, September 20, 2026, under the theme "Protect Your Dream."

The session, designed to prepare the young athletes for both their careers and personal lives, featured two key facilitators: Precious Dede, former goalkeeper of the Nigerian national team, and Bernice Bempah, a Safeguarding Officer.

Bempah led the session on safeguarding, emphasizing the importance of protecting their dreams by staying aware of their rights and surroundings.

Precious Dede followed with a practical talk on financial management and discipline.

Speaking on finances, Dede urged the players to cultivate a saving culture, stressing that "no amount is too small to save." She also took them through the importance of discipline as a player, noting that a disciplined attitude on and off the pitch is key to long-term success.

The program forms part of ongoing efforts to equip the Black Maidens with essential life skills beyond football, ensuring they are well-prepared for the future.
