The GFA Disciplinary Committee has dismissed Berlin FC’s petition against Berekum Arsenals for the wrongful registration of player Eric Ametepe contrary to Article 27 1B of the GFA Rules and Regulations.

In its petition, Berlin FC alleged that the mother team of the said player “Ahafoman FC” has never issued a release letter to any club to register him.

They therefore requested that since the said player was used in their GN Bank Division One match played on March 29 2015, they should be awarded the three points and goals at stake.

In their response to the petition, Berekum Arsenals claimed that from the biometric registration the player was registered as a player of Debiso Royals FC and a release letter was acquired from Debiso Royals.

They added that on the electronic card A which is the player license, the player had played for Debiso Royals FC for two years and has duly gone through publication and verification.

And after considering the case of both the petitioner and the respondents, the Disciplinary Committee concluded that the player Eric Ametepe was properly registered by Berekum Arsenals upon beinmg released by Debiso Royals FC.

It therefore considered the protest by the petitioner to be frivolous and vexations. Berlin FC has therefore been ordered to pay a cost of GH¢500 in accordance with the GFA Rules and Regulations.
