Aduana Stars were handed a shocking defeat by newly promoted Bechem United who won 2-1 on Wednesday in the Ghana Premier League.

Emmanuel Allan gave Aduana the opener when he converted a penalty to give them a deserved lead going into the break at their favourite Agyemang Badu Park.

Bechem produced a fine finish, drawing level in the 80th minute through Abu Issa.

The equaliser forced Aduana to venture forward for the winner but they were stunned when Bechem broke on the counter to get the second goal through Augustine Ocran in the 89th minute.

At the Gyamfi Park, James Boadu scored for New Edubiase to hand them a 1-0 victory against Inter Allies.

The win was the first for Edubiase who had lost their opening three games but the fourth for the Premier League debutants, Inter Allies.
