Ahortor strikes late to give Inter Allies win over

Inter Allies have extended their unbeaten home run after beating Hearts of Oak 2-1 at the Tema Stadium in their First Capital Plus Premier League match day 12 game.

"Eleven is One" is yet to lose a home game this season having won all their matches at home except their Week three match against Liberty Professionals which ended goalless.

And the Phobians failed in their attempt to break this record and to maintain their own impressive performances in recent times.

Isaac Oduro drove in one of his trade mark free kicks to bring Hearts of oak back on level terms after Kwamina Ropapa Mensah got the opener for Inter Allies in the 65th minute.

Gockel Ahortor however gave Inter Allies the winner with just a minute to the end of the game with an absolute beauty which beat Tetteh Luggard in post for the Phobians.

The results which has seen an end to Heart of Oak’s seven match unbeaten run, has also seen them slip to 13th on the League log with a better goal aggregate than 14th placed New Edubiase.

Inter Allies on the other hand have moved to fouth position and are five points away from the top of the League table.

In another League match played at the Essipong Stadium, Hasaacas came back from a goal down to beat WAFA 3-1.

Mumuni Zakaria scored first for WAFA before Ibrahim Suleman drew level for Hasaacas in the 36th minute.

Daniel Egyin then converted from the spot to give Hasaacas a 2-1 advantage before half time.

Frederick Quayson added the third goal for Hasaacas in the 59th minute as they move to 9th on the League table.

WAFA have slipped to 7th on the League log.
