The new premier league season would kick off on November 23 after Congress ratified the programme for the Onetouch Premier League.

Following the completion of the sixteen teams to participate in the league Congress agreed to the start date of the premier league at its first ordinary session for 2008.

Three new entrants Saint Mirren, Bechem Chelsea and Sekondi Eleven Wise make up the list of teams to compete in the 16-club league. Asante Kotoko won last season’s competition.

Registration of players for the new season begins today for all participating teams in the premiership and it would last for a two-week period.

The registration exercise would begin on Wednesday, October 29 and close on Friday, November 7.

After the registration period, publication and verification of the names of registered players would take place from November 10 - 21.
