Yapei FC clinches win over Catholic Stars, Victory Club Warriors edge Northern City in Zone One

Yapei FC recorded their second away win this season with a 2-0 victory over already relegated Walewale Catholic Stars at Winkogo on Saturday. Abedi Karim scored a brace in the 43rd and 50th minutes to secure all three points for Yapei FC, taking them to one place above the drop zone with 33 points from 27 matches.

Another strugglers, Wa Power SC ended their two-game winless run with an emphatic 2-0 victory over former Premier League side Real Tamale United at the Malik Jabir Stadium. Issahaku Wahid and Mumuni Adam scored crucial goals in the 24th and 77th minutes, respectively, to help Wa Power SC secure the maximum points.

Meanwhile, Victory Club Warriors secured back-to-back away wins for the first time in the campaign by defeating Northern City FC 2-1, jumping to third position in the league table with 40 points. Osman Zakaria opened the scoring for Northern City in the 8th minute, but Victory Club Warriors' ace Salifu Siaka scored a brace to secure all the points at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.
