Ghana will take a three-game unbeaten continental run into their 2011 African Youth Championship qualifying match with Benin on Saturday, as they seek a place in the finals.

The Under-20 side, the Black Satellites beat Namibia at home and drew away in the first round qualifying before defeating Benin in the first leg match of the final round in Cotonou and will be optimistic that they claim a home win or at least a draw to qualify.

An important 2-0 victory against the Beninions from the first leg will have come as something of a relief to Black Satellites coach Orlando Wellington, who has called up six foreign-based players for the weekend's game.

Olympique Marseille attacker Jordan Ayew and Vicenza's Salifu Amidu are the latest call ups into the Black Satellites by Wellington as the duo join regular members Mahatma Otoo, Afriyie Acquah, Richmond Boakye-Yiadom and James Bissue, to compete for places in the team dominated by local players.

But Wellington says he is only happy to have all his squad members challenging for places.

"Having this number of foreign-based players in the squad doesn't affect anybody's chances of getting into the team. I demand just hardwork from every player.

"Each member of my team would have to fight for his place. The idea is always to have the best team representing the nation and doing well. The result matters more than a player's destination," the Ghana coach told www.ghanafa.org.

With the exception of Ayew, who has featured twice for the senior side but yet to make his U-20 debut, little is known of Salifu Amidu of Vicenza, but Wellington explains that the young attacking midfielder is just as good as his colleagues.

"I have watched three recent games of him [Salifu] and I must say he has the quality," he said.

"He would give us different options and that is always good for the team. But no one would just be thrown into the side just because he is foreign-based. They have to earn it."

"The game with Benin is the last game and I want to have a good spirit between both locals and foreign-based players. I want to see them blend well as we aim to qualify so we can go and defend the title."

Ghana will host Benin at home after recording their impressive first leg win in Cotonou three weeks ago.

Ebo Andoh and Richmond Boakye-Yiadom scored to hand the Black Satellites the initiative ahead of the reverse clash.

Ghana is now just 90 minutes away from sealing a place at the 2011 African Youth Championship finals where the Black Satellites would defend the continental title won in 2009.

Seven teams will qualify for next year's finals along with hosts Libya.
