Emmanuel Baffour's late goal was not enough to save New Edubiase losing 2-1 to bottom side Wassaman on Sunday.

The goal by the Edubiase striker took his tally this season to 22 goals in 25 games.

Wassaman raced into the lead after two minutes into the start of the game when Godbless Asamoah opened the scoring to lift the atmosphere at the Tarkwa T&A Park.

The home side doubled their lead in the 36th minute through Shaffiu Mumuni to end the first half 2-0 up.

Back from the break, it took Edubiase 43 minutes before Baffour who had come close to finding target finally struck the back of the net.
