Victor Aidoo grabbed a brace as Hearts of Oak laboured to a 3-2 win against Ebusua Dwarfs on match day 15 of the Ghana Premier League at the Accra sports stadium on Sunday.

The win brings them back to winning ways after going four games without a win, picking just two points from a possible twelve.

Victor Aidoo put Hearts of Oak in the 7th minute with an excellently taken penalty following a foul on Patrick Razak in the 6th minute.

Hearts were awarded another penalty in the 18th minute after Dwarfs defender Emmanuel Anaful brough down Patrick Razak.

Aidoo elected himself again and the towering striker made no mistake by hitting his second of the afternoon.

Dwarfs rescued their disappointing start to the game by displaying some fine football after conceding the second goal. The visitors deservedly halved the deficit in the 44th minute through Moro Sumaila’s strike.

The first half ended 2-1 as Hearts headed into the locker room with their tails up.

Back from recess, Raddy Ovouka had to make a clearance on line to deny Dwarfs midfielder Benjamin Acquah from hitting the target.

The Phobians were dealt a blow as assists hero Patrick Razak was taken off with a gash on his forehead after Dwarfs defender Dennis Korsah’s boot caught his face.

Ebusua Dwarfs were awarded a spot kick in the 75th minute and Captain Dennis Akosah made no mistake as he sent Richard Attah the wrong way for the equalizer.

The game appeared to be heading to a 2-2 draw before substitute Isaac Mensah scored with a feeble shot in Dwarfs’ box.

It was the last action of the afternoon as Hearts of Oak pick their sixth win of the campaign.

Ebusua Dwarfs will have to wait for another season to end their ten-year winless streak against the Phobians.

The win brings an end to Ebusua Dwarfs unbeaten run in Accra. Hitherto, the Crabs had recorded three wins (Legon Cities, Liberty Professionals, Inter Allies) and one draw (Great Olympics) against clubs in the capital.
