Techiman City charged on two counts o f misconduct

The GFA Disciplinary Committee has charged Techiman City on two counts of misconduct in respect of their GN Bank Division One match against Berekum Arsenals played at the Techiman Park.

During the said match, Techiman City FC, had two persons (Berlin FC Chairman and Mr. Kwame) whose names were on the Team Sheet were on the team’s bench and also had their supporters entering the inner perimeter without authorization which caused hold ups of play in violation of the GFA Regulations.

Techiman City FC is hereby charged for a breach of Articles 23(5), 35(1)(a), 35(2) and 35(7)(d) of the GFA General Regulations and Article 66 of the Disciplinary Code in respect of this match.

Secondly, Techiman City failed to control its officials when the club’s coach, Nana Adarkwah on several occasions verbally attacked the match officials resulting in his expulsion from the inner perimeter, also when the officials on the bench of the club obstructed the work of the medical attendants of the match and also attempted to assault the players and officials of Berekum Arsenals FC in violation of the GFA Regulations.

They have therefore been charged for a breach of Articles 35(1)(a), 35(2) and 35(7)(d) of the GFA General Regulations and Article 66 of the Disciplinary Code in respect of this match.

The Club is expected to submit its written Statement of Defence to the charge(s) on or before Wednesday, June 10, 2015 on or before 5pm at the GFA Secretariat or through email address to the Disciplinary Committee, [email protected] failing which the Disciplinary Committee shall proceed to adjudicate the case without the Statement of Defence.

However, should they choose Defence Options 3 (Personal Hearing) in the Statement of Defence, they will attend the Disciplinary Committee on Friday, June 12, 2015 on or before 4pm at the GFA Secretariat to answer to the charge(s), failure which the Disciplinary Committee shall proceed to adjudicate the case in their absence.
