Ghana midfielder, Sulley Muntari would miss the Milan derby on September 28 after an appeal by Inter Milan to have his three-game suspension overturned was rejected.

Muntari received a straight red card in the first half of Inter’s 2-1 win over Catania last weekend for a foul on Giacomo Tedesco even though he insisted Tedesco had made a meal of it and conned referee Antonio Damato into the decision.

But the Federal Court of Justice rejected Inter’s appeal against the three-game ban ruling Muntari out of that epic against AC Milan, the weekend match against Torino in Turin and against Lecce.

And even though Jose Mourinho has publicly defended his player, he will be hoping the Catania incident will prove to be a one-off.
