Ghana's thumping victory over England at the World Youth Championship has thrilled coach Sellas Tetteh who has praised his side's style of football.

The Black Satellites completed a 4-0 rout over the Three Lions in Ismailia on Tuesday to reach the round of 16 in the competition.

And Sellas says the African Champions deserved the win.

"We deserved the win, we played beautiful football and scored beautiful goals. It was football at its best.

"Although we didn't start well in either half, we showed we can recover - and that is the mark of a good team. It's wonderful to be part of a team such as this one.

"If we can keep this team together, the future for Ghana will be very bright indeed," the Ghana coach said after Tuesday night's win.

Sellas' counterpart during Tuesday's game, Brian Eastick admits that his side were outplayed by Ghana.

"While 4-0 may have been a little bit harsh, we certainly deserved to be beaten.

"We were outplayed in every department: physically, technically and tactically - and I have absolutely no complaints about being beaten by a better side. We're not creating chances, so we have to address that, but first I need to rebuild these players over the next few days."

A brace by Dominic Adiyiah and two other strikes from captain Andre Ayew and Ransford Osei capped a great performance by the Ghana team attempting to claim their first World title.

Ghana plays Uruguay next in the final group game on Friday with both sides having already progressed to the next round but battling to finish top of Group D.
