The borehole project at the Sekondi Gyandu Park has been commissioned by President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku.

The Gyandu Park is the home venue for Women’s Premier League side Hasaacas Ladies, third tier side Hasaacas FC and a Game Centre for Juvenile Leagues in the Western Region.

President Simeon-Okraku was accompanied by the Western Regional Football Association Chairman Simon Ehomah and Executives of the Western Regional Football Association.

This brings to two, the number of borehole projects to be commissioned in the Western Region following similar project at the St. Martins Park at Daboase in the Wassa East District.

The borehole project is an initiative of the Executive Council to improve domestic competitions across the football ecosystem. As a result, a number of projects in Greater Accra, Ashanti, Central and Brong Ahafo Regions have already been completed and commissioned by President Simeon-Okraku.

The project is fully funded by proceeds from the FIFA Forward 1.0.
