Satellites set for six day programme

Ghana’s Under-20 team moved to camp on Friday for a six-day training programme ahead of the start of the Fifa World Youth Championship in September to be hosted by Egypt.

Black Satellites coach Sellas Tetteh has called up a 25 man list for the programme which begins on Friday in Accra and runs till Thursday May 30th, 2009.

The list dominated largely by locally-based players also includes one foreign-based player.

Spain-based midfielder Rabiu Mohammed will join the rest of the squad for the first time this year after missing out of the African Championship through injury.

Ghana reached the World Cup after winning the African Youth Championship title back in January.

The Black Satellites are paired in Group D of September’s World Cup with England, Uzbekistan and Uruguay.

Squad:

Joe Addo (Heart of Lions), Dan Adjei (Liberty), Robert Dabou (All Stars), Isaac Sefah Annang(Soccer Learners),Samuel Kyere (Bechem Chelsea).

Bernard Cofie (Mighty Jets), Mark Asibiga (Golden Stars),Ghandi Kassenu (Liberty Professionals), Philip Boampong (Berekum Arsenals) and Daniel Addo (King Faisal).

Others are Karim Alhassan (Hearts of Oak),Inusah Karim (Mighty Jets),John Bissue (Hasaacas), Daniel Larbi (Mirren), Ekow Benson (Tema Youth), Isaac Donkor (Liberty).

The rest are Gladson Awaku (Heart of Lions), Rabiu Mohammed (Spain),Ishmael Antwi (All Blacks),Gafaru Nasiru (All Stars),Latifu Salifu (Liberty).

Sadat Karim (RTU), Nurudeen Ali (Bechem Chelsea),Kofi Owusu (Okwahu United),Edmund Affum (Tema Youth).
