Sellas Tetteh says his squad has been looking forward to starting the competition in Ismailia as Ghana plays Uzbekistan on Saturday.

The Ghana coach is not underrating the abilities of the Asian runners-up, a team he considers a threat as the other group members to his side.

Ghana would also have to come up against England and Uruguay in Group D.

Sellas Tetteh's team begin their campaign on Saturday evening against Uzbekistan in Ismailia with the Black Satellites eager to battle for the three points from their first competition.

"First games are normally not easy. Players might show nerves but once they settle, they play to their normal plan.

"Our opponents, Uzbekistan, would not come easy. They would be dangerous just like the other two big sides.

"We have to take our chances and ensure that we come out as winners," Sellas told www.ghanafa.org ahead of the game.

"I am expecting my team to enjoy the game and do their work."

The Ubeks have set for themselves a target to get past the group stages, meaning they would go in for the win despite Ghana's track record over the years in such competition.

Coach of the Asian runners-up, Akhmad Ubaydullaev says it would be a tough game but is confident.

"Our goal is to get past the group stage and over the past year the team have developed tactically, technically, physically and mentally. It will be a tough game against Ghana,"
