Ghana goalkeeper Richard Kingston has been ruled out of action for a further two weeks because of a back injury.

Kingston suffered the injury during the recent Africa Cup of Nations and received treatment in England after his return from the tournament.

The Birmingham keeper has not played for his club since his return from the tournament in his home country.

He made a partial recovery last month when he featured for the Black Stars in their friendly against Mexico.

But he was substituted because he aggravated the injury during the game.

Kingston underwent further treatment at the Clairefontaine Medical Centre in Paris which is owned by the French Football Federation.

Kingston has now been told by the French doctors that he will need two more weeks before he can return to full time action.

He should be ready to play for his country when the World Cup qualifiers start in June.
