The Black Starlets held their first training session in Rabat on Friday afternoon as they stepped up preparations for their first international friendly against Morocco’s U17 side.

The session, which lasted for 1 hour and 30 minutes took place at the A.S.S Stadium in Salé, a suburb of Rabat, as Coach Kassim Mingle and his technical team put the players through their paces.

The training focused on helping the players adapt to their new surroundings while also working on their tactical approach ahead of the upcoming friendly. The technical team also used the session to assess the physical condition of the players following their arrival in Morocco.

The Black Starlets will face Morocco’s U17 side on Saturday evening in the first of two friendly matches scheduled during their stay in the North African country.

The encounter will provide Ghana with an opportunity to test the team against strong opposition and assess their readiness ahead of the WAFU Zone B U17 Championship, which will also serve as the qualifying tournament for the 2027 U17 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Black Starlets are scheduled to play a second friendly against Morocco before concluding their tour and returning to Ghana on October 1, 2026.
