Demetrous Sarkodie emerged as the match winner, scoring the only goal of the game in the 56th minute to secure all three points for the hosts. Abudu Yakubu of Debibi United was named player of the match following his impressive performance.
The win strengthens Debibi United’s position at the top of the Zone One B league table, as they now sit six points clear after recording 10 wins, one draw, and one defeat from 12 matches this season.
Former Premier League side Real Tamale United ended a three-game winless run (D1, L2) in emphatic fashion by thrashing struggling Bolga All Stars FC 4-0 at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on Saturday. Real Tamale United took firm control in the first half, with Gafaru Abubakar opening the scoring in the 30th minute before Rahim Akanta doubled the lead eight minutes later to give the hosts a comfortable lead at the half time, After the break, Andrews Asare added the third goal in the 57th minute, and Samuel Lamptey sealed the convincing victory with a brilliant finish in stoppage time. Real Tamale United’s ace Abdul Basit Lamale delivered an outstanding performance and was named player of the match. Real Tamale United remain second in the Zone One A table with 22 points, six points behind leaders Tamale City FC.
Northern City FC extended their unbeaten run to four consecutive league matches (W2, D2) with a commanding 4-0 victory over new entrants Sankara Nationals in Tamale on Friday. Salifu Abdulai open the scoring in the 11th minute, before Mohammed Kamil Sulemana doubled the lead in the 22nd minute. Wungah Williams made it 3-0 as he converted a spot kick swiftly in the 69th minute. Mohammed Kamil Sulemana scored again in the 72nd minute to complete the victory for Northern City FC.
