Milovan Rajevac is highly confident that Ghana can claim a second straight win at the World Cup in Group D today when they meet Australia.

In the run up to Saturday's game at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium, Ghana has been hit by the absence of defender Isaac Vorsah through injury and a late decision would be made on the availability of John Mensah who captained the team during their 1-0 win over Serbia.

But Rajevac remains optimistic about his side's chances against Australia, who need a win to have a chance of progressing from the group.

"Vorsah has not been training. I don’t think he would be able to play. We will see how the situation is with [John] Mensah, but we have other players who can replace them you know. We have enough players to come in and replace them," he said.

It remains a tight fixture with Rajevac keen on grabbing a result after the group was thrown wide open following Serbia's 1-0 victory against Germany on Friday. The win sees the Serbs level on three points with Germany and Ghana, though the two sides have played one game more than the Black Stars.

Australia suffered a humiliating 4-0 defeat to Germany and must win or face the possibility of an early exit.

For Rajevac, the performance of the Socceroos against Germany is not the index to assess Pim Verbeek's side as he keeps his players grounded and warns against any form of complacency.

"Over the past few days we have been preparing for that. We didn't want players to be overly confident. They have to be well concentrated. You know everything happens on the pitch. By making statements we will not win, it's only by the way we perform on the pitch. Also, you have seen how the results have gone in this World Cup, so there are no favourites. It's all about playing well and getting the result - that's the most important thing."
