Former League Champions Aduana Stars on Sunday, fought back to defeat Accra Great Olympics 2-1 in a match day 7 game of the ongoing Ghana Premier League.

Both teams had chances to break the deadlock especially in the first half but couldn’t find the last touch as wore on.

Great Olympics returned from recess with much determination as they finally found their scoring boots as Samuel Ashie-Quaye scored an absolute beauty in the 51st minute.

The advantage however did not last more than 10 minutes as Aduana Stars quickly replied through import Flavien Jean Kongaza within five minutes.

Aduana Stars grew into the game from there on as they dictated the pace with some intelligent play.  Hell broke loose in Dormaa in the 78th minute after referee Osei awarded the hosts a penalty. Aduana Stars talisman Yahaya Mohammed stepped up to bury the resultant spot kick.

Olympics kept fighting on with the hope of getting something out of the match but the steady defense of Aduana Stars stood to the test.

The Dade Boys’ unwanted record against Aduana Stars at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park continues, having failed to win any of their last four visits to the ground.

Aduana have collected ten (10) points from a possible twelve (12) at home against the Accra-based giants.

Aduana currently occupy 8th position with 10 points while Olympics sit Juve two places above them with 11 points from 7 matches.
