Quartey replaces Laryea as head of refs association

Retired FIFA referee L.O. Laryea has ended his tenure as national chairman of the Referee's Association of Ghana, RAG.

He will now continue with his new post as Refereeing Manager in the Refereeing Department of the Ghana Football Association.

L.O. Laryea has been replaced by another retired FIFA referee Alex Quartey following elections at the 2nd Quadrennial Congress in Sunyani last weekend of the body that deals with all matters concerning refereeing.

The elections also saw John B. Debrah selected as the national vice-chairman with J.A. Mensah taking the seat of the General Secretary.

Joseph Wellington was returned unopposed as national instructor while Alex Kotey was elected as the deputy national instructor.
