Preview: Premiership returns this weekend

After a long break, the Glo Premier League returns this weekend with match-day-16 fixtures on Saturday and Sunday.

Two matches will kick start the league on Saturday on the opening weekend of the second round matches.

New Edubiase, sitting 11th on the standings welcome relegation threatened Berekum Arsenals at the Gyamfi Park.

Bottom side, Real Tamale United will be hoping for good fortune this time round as they play Amidaus Professionals at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Six fixtures will come off on Sunday across the country with leaders, Medeama, who hold a three-point lead at the summit traveling to the Tema Stadium to face Tema Youth.

Aduana Stars, in second place will be hoping to capitalize if Medeama slips but the Dorma-based side face a tough test on their visit to the Robert Mensah Stadium where they take on Ebusua Dwarfs.

Elsewhere, Wa All Stars will be at home to Heart of Lions at the Wa Park while Hearts of Oak, who finished the first round in the relegation bracket will aim to ease their troubles against King Faisal at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Berekum Chelsea after drawing with AshantGold in the reverse fixture will attempt to get the better of the Obuasi side when the Miners arrive at the Golden City Park.

Asante Kotoko, after their impressive outing in the Caf continental campaign will try to continue their fine form when Liberty Professionals visit the Baba Yara Stadium.
