Fresh from a 21-day break, the Premiership returns this weekend with intriguing match-day-23 fixtures as the race for top-four honours and the battle to beat the drop, dominates both halves of the table.

Asante Kotoko will be looking to continue their march towards second place for now, when they take on King Faisal in the top liner of the Glo Premier League this week.

The Porcupine Warriors have been in such fine form but their midweek performance in the FA Cup where they secured their place in the last eight via a marathon penalty shoot out somehow exposed some frailties in their setup.

Faisal, who are just three points above the relegation zone would be determined to pick all the spoils from the derby at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.

Berekum Chelsea lead the way and continue to close in on their debut league title but would face a tricky duel when they welcome New Edubiase to the Golden City Park.

Despite holding out a 12-point lead at the top, Chelsea, would be missing four players plus their head coach, Orlando Wellington, all on national duty. However, assistant coach Yusif Abubakari is confident of their chances.

Aduana Stars' title defence is looking increasingly unlikely as Herbert Addo's side have slipped to fourth on the table and travel to the Robert Mensah Stadium to play Ebusua Dwarfs, who are very strong at home.

All Stars and Hearts of Oak is a crucial fixture as they both remain very much in dire need of a lift when they clash at the Wa Park. Both sides are level on the standings and just four points separate them from the relegation zone.

The push for a top-four place would be on the minds of 5th placed, AshantiGold and Heart of Lions, who are lying 6th when they meet at the Len Clay Stadium. Both sides are level on points as a win for either side would give them a lift.

B.A. Stars would want to take a cue from their performance that saw them beat leaders, Chelsea in their last game at the Gyemfis Park when they host second-placed, Medeama.

Liberty Professionals, lying 12th on the table would be eager to claim all the three points in their match against Real Tamale United at the Carl Reindorf Park. But RTU, caught in the relegation battle would seek to improve their poor away form.

Mighty Jets play Berekum Arsenals at the Akosombo Park to wrap up a busy fixture schedule.
