Ghana and Australia go head-to-head in Group D in a decisive clash on Saturday that could make or unmake their respective World Cup campaigns in South Africa.

The Black Stars will be seeking to win against Australia in the crucial game to boost their passage to the second round of the World Cup.

After a well-deserved 1-0 victory over Serbia, attention has been turned on the game at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg with coach Milovan Rajevac stressing on the need to get a result against the Socceroos.

Rajevac is aware that Ghana have a good chance of at least matching the feat achieved at the last World Cup in Germany where the Black Stars reached the second round.

Ghana must first scale past an Australia team that suffered a big defeat in their first game, losing 4-0 to Germany to reach the next round.

But Rajevac is not looking beyond Saturday’s game having cautioned his team against any form of complacency.

“For Australia, this is the last chance,” he said. “They are a very competitive nation and I am sure they will fight. Their performance against Germany did not show the real picture,” he told www.ghanafa.org after a Ghana training session on Wednesday.

“For us this win is very important so we need to prepare well and concentrate well. Nothing is certain before the match or before the last whistle.”

Rajevac’s opposite number, Pim Verbeek is confident of rallying his Socceroos and believes they can produce a gritty display in the decisive clash.

Craig Moore, one of Verbeek's expected pick for the game hopes his side are better organised against the Black Stars.

“We need to be better organized,” Moore said. “That was something we prided ourselves on in qualifying. If we can get back to that we have players who can cause problems and score goals.”
