Bechem United secured a 2–0 victory over Swedru All Blacks at the Nana Gyeabour Park to move out of the relegation zone, at least temporarily on Saturday.

The hosts made a bright start and were rewarded in the 18th minute when Augustine Okrah calmly converted from the penalty spot after Bechem were awarded a spot kick for a foul in the box.

Momentum remained firmly with the Hunters, and they doubled their advantage nine minutes later. Darlvin Yeboah finished clinically in the 27th minute, capping a dominant spell of pressure and putting Bechem firmly in command before the interval.

Swedru All Blacks showed greater urgency after the break and enjoyed more of the ball, but they were unable to find a way past a disciplined and well-organised Bechem defence.

The result lifts Bechem United to 12th place on the league table, temporarily easing relegation fears with more fixtures still to be played over the weekend. Swedru All Blacks, meanwhile, remain 10th despite the setback.
