President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku performed the ceremonial kick off for the commencememnt of the 2022/23 Futsal Premier League.

The maiden edition kicked off on Saturday, April 22, 2023 with four matches played in Zone One of the championship.

The sixteen competing teams have been put into two groups of eight teams to play in a League that would produce winners for the play offs to determine the champions.

Chairman of the Futsal Committee Markwei Korley led his committee members and other top officials to kick start the League. They included Samuel Aboabire, Chairman of the Greater Accra Regional Football Association, Fred Tindan and Ebo Kwaitoo (Committee Members) and Referees Manager Alex Kotey.
