PFAG partners Dutch FA, others to commission water project

The Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) and their Dutch partners will on Friday August 14 commission the Football for Water project, a Netherlands sponsored Water, Sanitation and Hygiene intervention programme in Ghana.

The Royal Netherlands Football Federation KNVB and Philips who are involved in the project will also assist the programme with football coaches training, donation and installation of Solar Light Centres in Public Basic schools in Ghana respectively.

As part of the implementation process, they will commission and hand over the Light Centre facilities to Schools in Ghana.

Amongst the guests invited for the event are ex-Ghana football icons Stephen Appiah, Samuel Osei Kuffour, Laryea Kingson, Nigeria’s Nwanku Kanu, Daniel Amokachi and Aaron Winter, Tarik Qulida of Netherlands.

These ex footballers will hold a football clinic for the school children and play a football match to climax the commissioning of the project.

The event which will be held at the Osu Presbyterian Salem Park is expected to begin at 4:30pm.
