Medeama begin their second campaign in the Ghana Premier League amongst the favorites for glory in the 2011/12 season.

The Tarkwa-based side saw the title elude them last season despite spending big on players.

Ahead of their opener against Wa All Stars on October 9 at the Sekondi Sports Stadium, Medeama, appear to have adopted a life of modesty with the owner of the side, downplaying reports that he's frustrated with their lack of silverware after investing heavily.

Moses Armah says he is willing to bide his time for his expensively assembled team to land their first competitive silverware.

"I'm not giving up on the team because I understand football. As a businessman I'd put in every effort to make my club succeed," Armah said in response to questions about the lack of trophies.

The club owner believes Medeama would continue to improve as they enjoy some financial support.

"It's not easy being in football in Ghana but with Goldfields, we will do well in the new season."
