Medeama continued to hog the summit of the Glo Premier League after match-day-18 after defeating King Faisal 1-0 on Sunday in Kumasi.

A 6th minute goal from Godbless Asamoah made the difference as it separated both sides at the Baba Yara Stadium.

The win is Medeama's first in the second round of the league after a stuttering start.

The victory also hands the Mauves a two-point lead ahead of second-placed Berekum Chelsea on the standings.
