AshantiGold have asked their coach, Zdravko Logarusic to step aside from coaching duties with the order coming on the eve of their league fixture away to Berekum Arsenal.

The Croat has been under pressure lately following a string of poor results which has left the Miners 12th on the standings.

Logarusic said: “I won’t be travelling with the team for our match this Sunday because the management has asked me to step aside for some time.

“For now I think it will be Yaw Acheampong who will take over but am still around in Ghana and hopefully I’ll see what happens by at least Monday either to fly out or not.”

AshantiGold, runners up in the previous season were tipped to compete for the title but their campaign so far has recorded two wins, four draws and four defeats in the Glo Premier League.

Logarusic's position would be taken by Kamara Dini, an ex-Ghana international and he will lead the Miners in their game with Arsenal at the Golden City Park on Sunday.
