Fresh from their 2-0 loss to Asante Kotoko, Liberty Professionals will attempt to make an immediate return to winning ways when they host Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs at the Dansoman Ibrahim Sly Tetteh park on Saturday.

The Scientific soccer lads who, prior to Monday, had suffered only one defeat in the League have huffed and puffed in the ongoing campaign, churning out uncharacteristic performances. They currently sit in 11th place in the League with 10 points.

Speaking after the Kotoko game, Liberty Professionals coach David Ocloo mentioned that missing two key players played a part in the 2-0 defeat to the Porcupine Warriors. The Dansoman based club have lost captain George Amoako to Tunisian side Union Sportive de Tataouine.

“It is unfortunate. The inexperience in my boys showed a lot today but I think we will go back and right the wrongs and move forward.”

Liberty have won two and lost two in four home games, amassing 8 points from a possible 12. On Saturday, they will come up against Ebusua Dwarfs, a side that sit four places behind them with a game in hand.

Dwarfs come into this as the underdogs following an inconsistent show of form in the League. Their best away result remains a 2-1 win in December last year against Legon Cities in Accra on match day five.

Ebusua Dwarfs sit one place above the relation zone, one point better than 16th placed Inter Allies. Head Coach Ernest Thompson will hope to pull one of the surprises in the League against a side that has yet to lose at home this term.

This fixture will be broadcasted live on StarTimes Adepa channel 247. Kick off is at 3pm on Saturday, January 16, 2021.
